WHAT SALAZAR STANDS FOR

Affordable Housing

When working families and individuals can’t afford a place to live, it’s clear—we need to take a new path.

As a councilmember, Salazar will engage with developers and city leaders to promote a balanced mix of single-family homes and mid-density affordable housing, while increasing awareness of state and federal homeownership programs.

Responsive Leadership

The demolition of the Redwood Drive-in was a great loss of a unique and cherished part of West Valley. Our community deserves leaders who truly listen to our needs and take action to protect and preserve what matters to us.

Geovani Salazar understands the diverse communities of West Valley and knows that they need more than just representation—they need real action.

Reduce Price-hikes

We've seen rising costs in power and water utilities, adding to already high living expenses. Many families are now forced to cut back on other essential needs just to keep up with their utility bills.

Salazar will work to ensure greater accountability and fairness in utility pricing and fight for policies that ease the financial burden on working families.

Your Voice, Our West Valley

Our families are what makes West Valley City neighborhoods great. But we face real challenges—rising utility bills, unaffordable housing, aging parks, dilapidated roads, and disconnected communities. We need leaders who engage and listen to all of us, not just those they agree with.

GEOVANI

I’m the firstborn son of Mexican immigrants, now raising my children with my fiancé here in West Valley—the city I’ve called home most of my life. At 34, I’m still working to build a stable future, but like many families, we’ve felt the squeeze of rising costs and having to make tough choices such as which bills to pay first and what can wait till next paycheck. We need leaders who truly understand the struggles working families face—that’s why I am running for councilmember.

FAITH . FAMILY . FELLOWMEN

As a Christian man, my faith is the foundation of my values—it is what drives me to care for and respect my family. That same faith teaches me acceptance towards those who have a different point of view.

I believe every individual has the right to worship freely and to love whom they choose without fear or judgment.

Our communities are built by people of all backgrounds who live peacefully and contribute to the common good. These are my fellow citizens. And let me be clear: my faith also calls on me to speak out against those who use Christianity as a weapon to spread hate or division.

True faith does not justify intolerance—it demands compassion, justice, and unity.
